Orphan Sunday 2011 Coming November 6th

Join Forgotten Voices and countless other organizations, churches, communities, and individuals all over the world as we commemorate Orphan Sunday 2011 on November 6th. Originating in Africa, this grassroots event has now grown into an international celebration of people joined together by a common love for the estimated 143 million orphaned children worldwide.

So how can YOU get involved?

Check out OrphanSunday.org to find an event in your area, see event ideas, and browse through tons of great resources. You can also register for the LIVE from Kansas City one-hour webcast event taking place at 6pm Central Time on Orphan Sunday. The event will include guided prayer and worship by Jon Egan of the Desperation Band.
We’d also like to personally invite you tojoin us at the table‘ for Orphan Sunday. For a small donation to cover shipping cost, you can order a typical meal package served in orphanages around the world. Each meal is accompanied by a prayer and discussion guide as well to encourage reflection and dialogue about the plight of orphaned children. Each meal package will feed 4 people; a great idea for families, small groups, youth groups, or individuals seeking to join with countless others around the world participating in this important event.
Our prayer is that through this year’s Orphan Sunday, countless hearts would be burdened around the world to “defend the cause of the fatherless”.

Blessings,
Brian Reilly – Forgotten Voices Volunteer
