Children are back at school in Zimbabwe

In Zimbabwe the school year is divided into three terms, first term is January-April.Term two is May-August and lastly, term three goes from September- December.Today is the first day at school as children conclude their last term in 2013 school calendar. This term is critical because teachers and pupils are busy preparing for the October-November examinations. At primary school level, pupils are sitting for Grade 7 examinations (this is a final year examination at Primary school that prepares a pupil to go to High school). High school students doing Form 4 are preparing to sit for Ordinary level examinations and Form 6 (commonly known as upper six) are preparing to write Advanced level examinations. Good results at ‘A’ level enables a student to obtain a place to study at a university. This is a deciding time for many kids in Zimbabwe including orphans supported by Forgotten Voices. We kindly request friends and supporters of FVI to pray for guardians, teachers and pupils to gains strength and wisdom as coaching, reading and studying happens in preparation for the upcoming examinations.
