Farming God's WayMatopos Region, Zimbabwe

Impact:

  • Agricultural training and supplies to help families improve their own food security

People are hungry, not just for food. Foundations for Farming (previously Farming God’s Way), is introducing a no-till farming method that is revolutionizing the way people view farming.  Not only is this method helping increase the annual yield of farmers, while using less space, it is helping local churches meet their own challenges by providing farming support – not just food.  In addition, it is bringing people together to hear the transformational story of the Gospel.  It is helping bridge divides among tribes and within families through collective improvement.  Every person that receives this innovative and transformative training is encouraged to share it with 10 others, helping bring whole communities out of poverty by providing a family food source, excess for profit, and needed capital to build on.

Focused farming, targeting each seedling instead of a whole field, is helping limit weeding time and allowing kids that child head of households get back into school, thereby keeping their hopes and dreams alive.

Forgotten Voices is partnering with this project because it is helping us equip local churches to meet the physical and spiritual needs of children orphaned by AIDS, while also bringing about transformative change to communities with the Gospel. We believe in miracles and the impact of this program is testament to the fact that God is working today!
