Ndola Free Methodist ChurchNdola, Zambia

Impact: 26 kids in primary school

The husband and wife that lead this ministry fled Rwanda in opposite directions during an attack on their village during the country’s vicious genocide. The attack came before they were married. By God’s grace, they reconnected at a refugee station, desired to serve the Lord in a church role, and wanted to go to seminary.  God provided them an opportunity to go to the Theological College of Central Africa (TCCA), which is in Ndola, Zambia.  There, they decided that God wanted them to care for the oppressed and marginalized.

This ministry not only helped kids go back to school, but reaches up to protect the dignity of caretakers through skills training and the development of income generating projects. The church runs a family farm plot, where people who do not have access to land can raise essential foods to make it through the day and receive seeds/fertilizer to improve yield.  Forgotten Voices is proud to support this ministry, as it taps into the skills of its congregation to equip those caring for the physical & spiritual needs of children orphaned by AIDS.
