Ndola, Zambia

Impact: 50 kids school fees

Across multiple churches within the Baptist Association in Ndola, Zambia, a shared learning initiative is underway to more effectively minister to children orphaned by AIDS.  Recognizing the limited resources of the local church, the denomination is centralizing care and providing tools and training to pastors in the individual churches.

A woman named Sarah serves as Project manager. She has lots of experience managing projects which help kids and she is a natural administrator.  She asks tough questions and invites people to challenge their assumptions about what they cannot do, inspiring them to believe in what they thought they would forever fail to do.  The ZBA is helping its community churches prioritize need, mobilize church resources more effectively, and is trying to share lessons learned across the Association, and with neighboring churches, regardless of denomination.

Forgotten Voices is proud to support ZBA’s regional church effort, as it meets the unique physical & spiritual needs of children orphaned by AIDS in customized ways.
