Orphan Care Spotlight: Education
educationAmong their faithful services to orphaned and vulnerable children, a commitment to EDUCATION features prominently. Since 2007 they’ve helped 111 children remain in or re-enroll in school after the loss of a parent threatened an end to their education.  Partnership coordinator Pastor Matthews is himself a teacher of 3 courses at a local high schools. This gives him unique insight into the education-related challenges, opportunities and changes in caring for orphaned children. They even hope to achieve local income generation through education. They’re actively working toward opening a for-profit preschool to provide a much-needed service in the community and generate income to fund the activities of their orphan care ministry long-term.
